Swimming

Swimming lessons normally begin in February each year for all the children at Kilcornan pool, Clarinbridge. The excellent olympian swimmer Ann Paige & her team are coaching the children. The annual fundraiser pub quiz organised by the parents association helps to pay for all their lessons and bus transport.

Football

Coached by Muinteoir Mary Reidy (New Quay NS) the boys and girls football Teams comprise of children from New Quay, Carron, Ballyvaughan & Fanore Schools.

Cumann na mBunscol an Chláir -Clare Primary Schools Football 2018      

Our Boys Team of Carron/New Quay/Fanore schools won the competition in October 2018. The team played in Cusack Park, Ennis against Toonagh National School.

West Clare Football competition, June 2018

New Quay-Ballyvaughan-Carran-Fanore -combination Boys team played in Final in Ennistymon at 3pm on Wednesday 20th June, 2018. Unfortunately they lost by 1 point.

November 2017

Coached by Muinteoir Mary Reidy (New Quay NS) the boys and girls Teams comprised of children from New Quay,  Carron & Fanore Schools have reached both finals of Cumann na Mbunscol. Both finals will be played in Cusack Park , Ennis. The girls team play on Tuesday 7th November at 11.00am while the boys team play on Wednesday 8th at 3.00pm.
