Our school team of Fanore, Ballyvaughan, Carron and New Quay won the West Clare football competition last June.We had 2 students on the team. Here they are with their medals.
Medal Presentation Ceremony for our boys team recent Football Win will be held at Fanore National School on Monday 19th November, 2018 @ 2.30pm. Parents are welcome to attend.
Book of Kells Art Competition Deadline 30th November, 2018.
Senior Classes will be brought to Burren College of Art on Wednesday 21st November 2018 to meet artists who have created an interactive sculptural exhibition which is very much connected to renewable / recycled materials. The exhibition runs Mon – Fri, until 23rd November if parents would like to bring their younger children.

Muinteoir Mary’s Junior Room presented ‘Irish Dancing and drama’ during Seachtain na Gaeilge, Mary Shannon played the fiddle for the children.

Art appreciation classes after school with Cate deEyto & Ellie Farrell began once again. The first two classes are looking at printing self portraits inspired by the ancient Mexican cultures. The art classes are connected to the history syllabus taught in the senior room this term.
New Quay NS Fundraiser Pub Quiz At Linnanes Pub
Again a very successful and enjoyable night was had by all. The quiz, auction & raffle raised enough funds to pay for all the children to travel & receive swimming lessons in Kilcornan pool. Children will begin their lessons during the first week of February.
Book of Kells Art competition Prize
Trinity College Dublin ran a national Book of Kells Art Competition and one of our second class children won a prize and travelled to the award ceremony at Trinity.
